Duty Management Intern

, reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the hotel. Working across multiple departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance, you gain hands-on exposure to hotel management while contributing to operational excellence and exceptional guest experiences. This internship offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities\n\n

Support the Rooms Division Manager in overseeing the daily operation of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance departments Act as a central point of contact for operational matters and assist in ensuring effective communication between departments Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, restaurants, bars, and back-of-house areas to ensure hotel standards are maintained Assist with handling guest inquiries, complaints, and service recovery actions to ensure a positive guest experience Support the coordination of VIP arrivals, special requests, and guest recognition activities Monitor guest satisfaction and follow up on opportunities identified through guest feedback and reviews Assist with room inventory management, occupancy monitoring, and room readiness throughout the day Support Food & Beverage operations during busy periods, special events, conferences, and group arrivals when required Coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office, Food & Beverage, and Maintenance teams to resolve operational challenges efficiently Assist in managing emergency situations and ensure compliance with health, safety, and security procedures Prepare daily operational reports, shift handovers, and management updates Participate in departmental and operational meetings, contributing ideas to improve service quality and operational efficiency Support managers with projects, audits, training activities, and quality assurance initiatives\n\n

Essential Requirements\n\n

Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism Management, or related study programme Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a dynamic hotel environment Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence working with multiple departments Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to high service standards Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands\n\n

Currently enrolled in a Hospitality, Hotel Management, Tourism Management, or related study programme

Strong communication skills in English, written and spoken

Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences

Proactive, organised, and eager to learn in a dynamic hotel environment

Strong problem-solving abilities and confidence working with multiple departments

Ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced operational environment

Eligible to complete an internship in the Netherlands\n\n

Preferred Requirements\n\n

Previous experience or strong interest in hotel operations, rooms division, front office, or guest services Leadership potential and willingness to take initiative Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills Interest in operational management and developing cross-departmental knowledge Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays when required Dutch or any additional language is an advantage\n\n

Previous experience or strong interest in hotel operations, rooms division, front office, or guest services
