We're looking for curious, inventive, and ambitious students to join our Generative AI Internship and gain hands-on experience building with the tools that are reshaping every industry — large language models, AI agents, and multimodal generative systems.

About the Internship

As a Generative AI Intern, you'll work on realistic generative-AI challenges involving text generation, AI assistants, RAG systems, and agentic workflows — building applications that reason, create, and act with real language models. You'll learn how AI practitioners turn raw model capabilities into working products — designing prompts and evaluation sets, orchestrating agents and tools, and handling the quirks of real-world model behavior.

Responsibilities

Design and iterate on prompts for text generation, classification, and reasoning tasks.
Build LLM-powered features using APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, open-weight models).
Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) over documents and knowledge bases.
Build simple AI agents that can use tools, browse, and complete multi-step tasks.
Create evaluation sets and run model evaluations (accuracy, faithfulness, refusal behavior).
Experiment with function calling, structured outputs, and prompt chaining.
Prototype AI chatbots and copilots for realistic use cases.
Work with embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
Generate synthetic data to train or evaluate models.
Implement guardrails and safety checks for model outputs.
Fine-tune or LoRA-adapt smaller models for specific tasks.
Compare models and select the right model for each task (cost vs quality tradeoffs).
Experiment with multimodal models (text + image, vision-language tasks).
Build simple demos with Streamlit, Gradio, or web interfaces.
Track experiments and write clear documentation of results and learnings.
Collaborate with other interns on cross-functional AI projects.
Turn real-world problems into generative-AI product formulations.

Requirements

Current student or recent graduate in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field — or a strong self-taught coding portfolio.
Strong interest in large language models and generative AI.
Basic programming skills (Python is a plus).
Comfortable with basic math — probability, statistics, and linear algebra at an introductory level.
Analytical and logical thinking with close attention to detail.
Self-motivated and able to work independently on technical challenges.
Comfortable experimenting, failing fast, and iterating.
Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms is a plus.
Previous professional machine-learning experience is not required.
